About the Founder

 

Personal Introduction

Myriam Markiewicz, the founder of alna design, is an accomplished French interior designer based in the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence in the South of France. She is a dedicated mother of two sons. Her younger son has honed his skills as a barber, while her older son has excelled in the tech world, becoming a CEO in software development.

Myriam’s strong family ties in the USA, particularly in New York City and Florida, have played a significant role in her personal and professional life. These connections have recently led her to Long Island City, where she now spends part of her time.

Professional Biography

Myriam’s professional journey began with a Business Administration degree, followed by a Psychology degree. She then pursued studies in fashion before transitioning into the field of interior design. She authored a book, contributed to articles, and even appeared on television shows. However, she ultimately turned her passion towards education.

In 2007, Myriam revolutionized the educational landscape by introducing France’s first certified interior decorating and design program for adults seeking a new career path.

In July 2023, she sold her School to an investment fund and decided to take her career to a global level, starting with the USA, where a large part of her family originates.

In 2024, Myriam decided to revolutionize online interior design and decorating studies by creating the first academy offering free courses on the fundamentals of interior design, specialized masterclasses, and a career training program focused on real market expectations and hands-on learning through real projects.
