Hi Myriam, can you introduce yourself?

My name is Myriam Markiewicz. I’ve been a French interior designer for over 20 years.

I created ALNA DESIGN®, an international online school dedicated to interior design and interior decorating — the French way.
Our mission is to help people learn interior design online with clarity, structure, and professional logic.

Are you qualified to offer such a program?

Absolutely.

I created my first interior design school in France in 2007.
In 2011, I launched the first certified career training program in interior decorating for career changers.

This certification is officially recognized by the French government and corresponds to an associate degree level in the United States.

This experience is the foundation of ALNA DESIGN®.

Why did you create ALNA DESIGN®?

In July 2023, I sold my interior design and interior decorating school to an investment fund.

I then chose to start a new project — more aligned with today’s world.

I wanted to create a platform that allows anyone, anywhere, to study interior decorating online and learn space design without financial pressure, while maintaining high professional standards.

ALNA DESIGN® was born from that decision.

Why not charge for the fundamentals courses?

Because the world has changed.

Today, with the internet and especially with AI, access to basic information is everywhere.
Fundamentals should no longer be expensive.

However, this information is:

• often fragmented
• rarely structured
• not professionally controlled

Learning alone takes time, energy, and clarity.

With ALNA DESIGN®, you get free access to the fundamentals of interior design and interior decorating, organized as real courses — not content fragments.

They are designed by an expert in both interior design and education, with more than 18 years of teaching experience.

Will the fundamentals courses always be free?

Yes.

The fundamentals courses in interior design and interior decorating will always remain free.
My goal is for them to spread worldwide and help as many people as possible learn interior design online with confidence.

In return, I simply ask students to:

• occasionally answer a short questionnaire to help improve the courses
• share them if they find them useful
• follow our upcoming Instagram account (a new one is coming soon)
